Accident: Four Killed in Tragic Car-Canter Collision
Bagalkot: A fatal road accident occurred late last night near Dhannur village in the Hunagund taluk of Bagalkot district, claiming the lives of four individuals. The victims were traveling in a car that collided head-on with a canter, resulting in their instant death. The deceased have been identified as Laxman Vaddar (55), Bailappa Biradar (45), Ramanna Nayak (50), and driver Rafik Mulla (25), all residents of Bidarkundi village in Vijayapura district.
According to reports, the car was en route to Muddebihal, while the canter was traveling from Muddebihal towards Hunagund. Preliminary investigations suggest that the collision occurred due to the car driver losing control, possibly because of drowsiness. The impact left the car severely mangled.
Local police from the Hunagund station promptly arrived at the scene and have begun a thorough investigation. It has been reported that the victims were returning to their village after visiting the Huligemma temple near Hospet when the accident took place.
